Story here.
"People need to understand the impact of their lifestyles," British environmental consultant Joanna Yarrow tells New Scientist magazine. "Clearly the environmental implications of having a frivolous luxury like a beer fridge are not hitting home. This research helps inform people — let's hope it has an effect."
Emphasis mine.
DUDE. A beer fridge is NOT a frivolous luxury, especially when you live in freakin' far left Canadaland. If I had to trudge around in snow, listen to my nanny government whine at me and tax the crap out of my hard-earned money, and stare at mounties and mooses all day, you freakin' bet I would have like 20 beer fridges. Joanna Yarrow clearly is a leftist twat who doesn't know what a hard life is in Canada.
Canada, drink up and buy more beer fridges!

I hear that some people are so striken with poverty that they put their beers and their food in the same fridge. What's frivolous, profligate and gluttonous is having a second fridge running to save you walking to the kitchen.
