Ann Coulter Losing a Fan

I have been one of Ann Coulter's biggest fans. Her sole purpose is to entertain and ruffle feathers, and I appreciate that. However, I think her latest religious statements are a little too over-the-top for me. Coulter was a guest on Donny Deutsch's tv show (never heard of it, anyway), and she said some pretty crappy things.

Coulter needs to stick to politics. Even though I think Christianity is the right religion, I do respect Judaism a lot. When talking to people about their religions, I always try to be respectful, be they Muslim, Mormon, Jewish or Hindu. You don't have to agree with someone's theology to be respectful.

What do you think?

Diana Conspiracy Theories

I've always been fascinated with Princess Diana's life and death since I was a little girl. I keep seeing conspiracy theories popping up on the Internet. Here are my thoughts on the matter.

1. Why would the royals go to such extreme efforts in order to kill of Princess Diana?
Yes, she was giving interviews and talking to people, blah blah blah. I really don't think the royals had much incentive to go to such lengths to silence Diana. Sure, Diana could and had made the monarchy look bad in the past before she died, killing someone over simple PR is simply not reasonable, in my opinion. There's all this talk about how MI6 was in Paris at the time she died. Of course they were. I'm sure the CIA was there, too. I'm sure all sorts of covert agencies were there in August of 1997. Just because MI6 was there doesn't mean there was some sort of assassination conspiracy against the princess.
2. What does it matter if she was pregnant with Al-fayed's child? (or someone else's?)
It doesn't. I really believe this pregnancy nonsense was cropped up by mad theorists who think George Bush orchestrated 9-11. It simply does not matter if Princess Diana was pregnant. All the royals would have need to do was to release some type of statement about her promiscuity (of which we are all aware of), not plan some huge conspiracy to murder her. Not a big deal.

This all seems like a bunch of nonsense to me. Conspiracy theories have always surrounded beloved public figures because people simply can't comprehend that bad things can happen to supposedly "good" people, because then that would make the whole concept of fate and death too frightening. So we come up with some elaborate excuse for why a beloved public figure died in order to comfort our own fears of dying in this mysterious universe. Oh yes, a laser beam must have flashed into the driver's eye or Someone posing as a fireman must have killed her. The simple truth is that things happen in this world that we can't explain, and none of us are exempt from tragedy.
